Includes articles I have written on the
CD shopping on the internet,
Compact Disc Database (CDDB) project (which has "forked"),
CD rot (also known as CD bronzing), and
cut-out and promotional CDs; and a
list of links related to CD collecting that didn't fit in elsewhere.
There's an important 2007 update on the CD rot page, with the news that the current owners of the PDO plant that produced these defective CDs is no longer offering replacments.
Covers some of general types of CDs that have become collectors items, using examples from my CD collection.
There are four detailed examples; I used to plan on adding more but never have.
v12.0 -- June 2008
Listing of my collection, which included 3659 titles when it was last revised. I enjoy looking through the
music collections of others & thought some of y'all might want to see what I have. There is some incorrect
discographical information around on the Web, but I will vouch for the accuracy (other than a few typos)
of my list because I own them all. The latest addition to this section was a set of snapshots of my collection.
These CDs and DVDs are not for sale.

Welcome to my website; now in its tenth year, but still fairly drab and unexciting. Everything here is about my obsession for collecting CDs, particularly compact discs of the industrial, gothic & other 1980's "alternative" varieties.
I am not limited to those styles, though; I am a "musical slut" and will listen to most anything, genre-wise, except for
"classic" rock I've heard too many times before. Enjoy your stay, take off your shoes and sit a spell. |
